Trump’s Border Czar Plans Mass Deportations, Calls for Funding and 100K Beds

Tom Homan, appointed by Donald Trump as the incoming administration’s “border czar,” announced plans for large-scale deportations of undocumented immigrants. To implement this strategy, Homan stated Wednesday that he will require funding from Congress and at least 100,000 detention beds. Homan, a former acting ICE director during Trump’s first term and an immigration enforcement veteran, is set to take charge once the new administration assumes office. The initiative signals a return to stringent immigration policies under Trump’s leadership.
